RULES AND REGULATIONS

Deadline: All submissions must be submitted, emailed, or post marked no later than 11:59PM PST, Saturday September 4, 2021.

Applicants may submit multiple projects. One (1) project title per submission form is allowed. Works in progress will NOT be considered.

The Film and Video Poetry Symposium will not offer notes or feedback on any submitted film or project.

The Film and Video Poetry Symposium cannot be held liable or responsible for any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, or royalty infringement.

The submitter agrees to provide FVPS the exhibition format indicated on this entry form two (2) weeks prior to the announced screening date.

URL link and password must NOT expire until after the symposium selection process concludes and the 2021 program is announced.

Entries that are not English language must be subtitled in English.

The submitter agrees to provide up-to-date contact information pertaining to the director(s) and producer(s) of the project submitted.

In the event that the submitted project is accepted for inclusion within the 2021 Film and Video Poetry Symposium the submitter agrees to provide each of the following rights to The 2021 Film and Video Poetry Symposium without reservations, conditions, or qualifications: (a) the right to use footage, stills and/or titles, and information from or relating to the project for promotional purposes; and (b) the right to issue and authorize publicity concerning the filmmakers and the project, and to use all associated names, likenesses and biographical information in doing so.

Students qualify to waive 50% of the submission fee. To be approved for this waiver the applicant must forward an authorization letter from their place of study and/or email a letter of request with proof of current enrollment before completing and forwarding any submission form.

Student waivers and all other requests for waivers must be submitted to the following email: Submissions@FVPSociety.com.

No revisions will be accepted once an entry has been received. Once a payment has been processed, FVPS will not provide a refund.

All decisions made by judges, programmers, and organizers will be final, and no refund of submission fee will be provided.

The Film and Video Poetry Symposium will announce the 2021 program selection on Monday October 4th, 2021.
